PRM was founded in 1983 as a joint venture between a group of international, private and corporate investors and established itself as a pioneer in the extraction, purification and refinement of tellurium and selenium materials.  The company was acquired in 2007 by II-VI Incorporated, a  US-headquartered multinational corporation, and a leading supplier of several high tech products, including: precision optics, laser components, thermoelectric cooling systems and silicon carbide wafers, serving a diverse group of markets.  PRM has now been producing tellurium and selenium metals and chemicals for over 25 years, and operates one of the world's most sophisticated rare metal processing and refining facilities, adhering to stringent international environmental standards and best-in-class practices.  The company's relentless emphasis on R&D, quality excellence and continuous improvement has enabled its leadership position in Selenium & Tellurium technology and production.
